Custom Cakes

Definition of a custom cake is any type of cake that goes above and beyond the call of regular cake work. This can include flowers, pictures or attention to detail that is a little bit extra than a traditional style birthday cake.

For custom design cakes and cupcakes please contact us by phone for any questions you may have. If you would like to provide a photo please send through email or text.  Please understand that we can not replicate another artist cake but we will put our own twist to the cake to make it original. We do not use fondant icing all custom cakes and cupcakes are made with buttercream frosting.

All custom cake and cupcake orders need to be place at least 3 weeks in advance. For cakes with picture cake toppers please place order 1 month in advance.   A 150.00 rush fee will be charge to custom cake orders that are place in the one week window.  Please do not complete a custom cake or cupcake order form until you get a quote by phone.  If a form is completed without a quote your order will be canceled.

Custom orders under 250.00 will require entire payment to be made when placing order. Orders that are $250.00 and over a non-refundable deposit of half of the amount is due when placing the order and the remaining amount will be due one week before pickup or delivery. If the final payment is not made on the due date we will not be able to complete your order and your order will be canceled. If the order is place within a week before pickup or delivery the entire amount will need to be paid

 Keep cake in the refrigerator until your event. Take the cake out of the refrigerator at least one hour prior to event to get room temperature. If the venue is warm on the inside, remove it 30 minutes before the event starts. If you are picking up your cake make sure that the vehicle is cold please do not leave your cake in a hot vehicle. When you arrive to your destination make sure that the cake is refrigerated. Custom cakes can last up to two weeks refrigerated and uncut.  If the cake has been cut it needs to be eaten as soon as possible. DemeCakes is not responsible if something happens to your order after it has been delivered or picked up.
