DemeCakes Policies & Procedures

All desserts are pre-order only. We do not offer same-day orders or in-store shopping. All orders are available for pickup or delivery only once completed.

• Regular Desserts:
  Orders must be placed at least 2 weeks in advance. 
• Custom Cakes & Cupcakes / Large Orders:
  Orders must be placed at least 1 month in advance. 

• We specialize in buttercream designs only and do not use fondant. 
• Custom cakes are not available for shipping. 
• Shipping is available for Basic Cakes only. 

Once your order is completed, it must be picked up or delivered within 2 days.
Any orders not picked up within this timeframe will be discarded, and no refunds will be issued.

Before placing an order, please call and speak with one of our team members to receive a quote. This helps avoid unnecessary or incomplete orders and ensures accuracy with your request.

Please note that our Order Form is for confirmed orders only and should not be used for quotes or general inquiries. If you are unsure or still deciding after receiving your quote, we kindly ask that you wait to submit your order until you are ready to move forward with your purchase.

Once an order is submitted, payment must be completed within 1 hour. Any unpaid orders after this timeframe will be automatically canceled.

Payment Policy

• Orders $300.00 and under:
  Full payment is required at the time the order is placed. 
• Orders over $300.00:
  A non-refundable deposit of 50% is required on the same day the order is placed. 
• The remaining balance is due one week prior to pickup or delivery.
  (This applies only to orders placed at least 1 month in advance.) 

All payments must be made by the specified due dates. Failure to submit payment on time will result in order cancellation.

We will not begin or complete any order without receiving:

• Full payment for orders under $300.00, or 
• The required deposit for orders over $300.00

DemeCakes maintains a strict no-refund policy on all orders that have been placed and received.

Refunds are issued solely at the discretion of DemeCakes and only in cases where the issue is directly attributed to an error on the part of DemeCakes.

Please note:

• Once an order has been picked up and leaves our premises, DemeCakes is not responsible for any damages that may occur during transport. 
• Claims regarding product quality, including dryness, must be reported on the same day of pickup. 
• If a concern is reported, the product must be returned the same day so it can be properly inspected by our team. 

Failure to return the product for inspection on the same day will result in the claim being denied.

Please provide your preferred pickup time on the order form.

If your pickup time changes on the day of your order, please call or text us with your updated estimated arrival time (ETA).

Upon arrival, please call or text us, and a team member will bring your order out to your vehicle.

Saturday Pickups:
You must pick up your order at the scheduled time you selected. If you are running late, please call or text us with your updated arrival time.

Please note that if your order is not picked up by 12:00 PM, you will need to wait until the next business day to retrieve your order..

Please ensure that someone is present at the delivery location at the scheduled time.

For events, the designated setup area must be prepared and ready upon our arrival. Please note that setup services are provided for events only.

You will receive a text notification when we are en route.

If no one is available at the delivery location upon arrival, the order will not be left unattended. In this case, the order will need to be picked up by the customer.

Storage & Serving Guidelines

• Cakes should be refrigerated until 1–3 hours before serving. 
• Remove the cake from the refrigerator and allow it to sit at room temperature to enhance flavor and texture. 
• Tiered cakes require more time—please allow at least 2 hours before serving. 
• Cupcakes should be taken out 2–3 hours prior to serving. 
• If your venue is warm, remove the cake no more than 30 minutes before the event begins. 

After Serving

• Store any leftover cake in the refrigerator. 
• Uncut custom cakes can last up to 2 weeks refrigerated. 
• Once the cake has been cut, it should be consumed as soon as possible for best quality. 

Important Notes

• DemeCakes is not responsible for any damage or issues once the cake has been picked up or delivered. 
• Please do not consume decorative elements, as some decorations are non-edible. 
• If picking up your order, ensure your vehicle is cool and air-conditioned. Do not leave your cake in a hot vehicle. 

• Store cakes and cupcakes properly at room temperature when serving. 
• Once refrigerated, place them in a sealed container to maintain moisture and freshness. 
• Cheesecakes must always be kept refrigerated in a cake container. 
• Pound and Bundt cakes should be wrapped in foil or plastic wrap to prevent drying out.

DemeCakes offers dessert tastings for customers with qualifying orders.

• A minimum order of $350.00 or more is required to schedule a tasting. 
• A non-refundable tasting fee of $60.00 is due prior to your appointment. 
• The tasting includes up to 5 flavor selections of your choice. 

If you choose DemeCakes for your event, the $60.00 tasting fee will be applied toward your final order total.

Tastings can be held at our location or we can travel to you for an additional arrangement.
